Lesson 12 of 13

Lesson 12 of 13 · 5 min

Required in-game settings

Goal: Set the NBA 2K27 controller settings the script needs. Two of them decide whether auto-green works at all.

Shot Timing and Shot Meter are the #1 reason people think auto-green "isn't working". Set these before you touch a single ms value.

Steps

  1. Shot Timing → Shots and Layups

Required. Any other option and the script cannot time a shot.

  2. Shot Meter → Off

Meter on means a narrower green window. Turn it off.

  3. Shot Feedback → All Shots

You need to see early/late on every attempt for Lesson 13's tuning rule.

  4. Visual Cue → Jump or Set Point

Either is fine. Pick one and keep it while you tune.

  5. Pro Stick → Shots and Dribbles, or Shots Only

Use Shots and Dribbles if you plan to run the Dribble Up/Down/Left/Right combos. Otherwise Shots Only.

  6. Controller deadzones → about 5% on both sticks

Raise them only if the stick drifts. Auto-Green needs the right stick to read as centred when you click R3.

Check: how you know it worked

  • Shot Timing reads Shots and Layups and Shot Meter reads Off.
  • Every shot shows feedback text.

Didn’t work? Shots not timing
