Connect the Zen to a PS5

Goal: Move the Zen from the PC to the PS5 and pick your slot.

Steps

  1. Unplug PROG

    Disconnect the Zen from the PC. The programming cable is not used while you play.

  2. CONSOLE → PS5

    Run a USB cable from the Zen's rear CONSOLE port to a USB port on the PS5.

  3. Controller → A1

    Plug your controller into the A1 port on the front. Whether the PS5 needs a specific controller connected for authentication, and how to pair a controller wirelessly, is not covered in this course; see guide.cronuszen.com.

  4. Pick the slot

    Use the Zen's button to select the memory slot that holds your script. The OLED should switch to the script name.

  5. Learn the PS names yew2K uses

    On PlayStation the mod menu opens with L2 + Options. The fine-tune modifier is Cross. The kill switch is PS + L2 (off) and PS + R2 (on). Lesson 11 covers the menu.

Check: how you know it worked

  • The OLED shows the script name.
  • The controller moves the cursor on the PS5 home screen through the Zen.
