Lesson 4 of 13 · 4 min
Compile a .gpc script
Goal: Turn a .gpc file into a compiled script that can go into a memory slot.
A .gpc is the script source. The Zen cannot run it as-is; Zen Studio Live compiles it first. This lesson is the same two clicks every time, including after every yew2K update.
If you do not own a script yet, read this lesson now and do it for real in Lesson 10, where you download yew2K.
Steps
Open the Compiler tab
In Zen Studio Live, click the Compiler tab.
Drag the .gpc in
Drag your
.gpcfile from your downloads folder into the Compiler tab. For yew2K this is the file the Generator on yew.gg gave you; it already contains your settings.Press Compile
Click Compile. When it finishes, the compiled script is ready to drag into a memory slot (Lesson 5).
Recompile after every update
yew2K ships free weekly updates through the 2K27 cycle. Each one is a new .gpc from the Generator. New file → Compiler → Compile → slot → Play. An outdated build is one of the three reasons the mod menu won't open; re-download and recompile fixes it.
Check: how you know it worked
- Compile completed and the compiled script is available to drag into a slot.
- You know the .gpc you compiled is the current one from the Generator.
